IC piping size/material??

whats the suggested pipe size to use for intercooler piping for around 425whp? also, aluminum or mild steel?

I used mandrel bent tubing from www.jcwhitney.com Great prices n whatnot. I think it was aluminium?

id say 2.5 pipe.

just get mild and paint the pipes.

whats the difference between mild steel and aluminum. i would think aluminum would be better since it cools quicker

Lol jk, if you want 425 in the end then that sounds ok... if you plan on much more later you might as well go big though... I would assume aluminum would be best.

If I go turbo I wanna see 600+ track and 400-450 daily

2.5" pipe, and mild steel will work just fine. aluminum you are looking at spending big bucks..

don't forget, aluminum is harder to weld.

Mild and between 2.5 and 3 will work. Aluminum will look like ass after awhile too.

2.5" Aluminum FTW. Smaller piping diameter means less time to pressurize the system and Aluminum piping dissipates heat faster.
