why do people always use aluminum or metal for ic piping, i was wondering why people dont use rubber hoses or like plastic tubing, just a question that wonders me

the air gets sucked through a f**kin hot turbo. i would think rubber or plastic would distort/melt/burn

^that too. and aluminim disipates (sp?) heat better than plastic or rubber.

metal is more durable and dissipates heat better. also, rubber will stretch under boost (increasing lag), and will need to be replaced often.

don't the stock dsm's come with rubber hoses? I've seen some foO's use rubber hoses as piping for their homade setup. The homade kit I bought came with rubber piping off a dsm. I'm just saying you can use rubber piping but I personally wouldn't.

use aluminum,it dissipates heat best and will stay in the same form under heat/pressure
