Does anyone know what bulb size this is? I tried to replace it with a #74 but the #74 was too big. I need to replace because my speedometer doesnt light up at night. Please and thank you!

You asked a question without even mentioning the vehicle it belongs to or where the bulb was pulled from.

Also, do not bump yourself after just 32 minutes. Understand you posted on a Saturday when many members are out and about or with their families. Writing useful titles instead of "I need help please!" will also increase your chances of a quicker response. Therefore, I'll change your title for you.

Looking closely into the background, it seems you have a '99 or '00 Civic so Im moving this thread into the correct section.

Sorry about not being specific. I have a 97 Honda Civic DX. I just replaced the two bulbs that are in the front of the cluster with two brand new bulbs I bought from the Honda dealership and my speedometer still isnt lighting up. Any suggestions?

The guy who owned the car before me had a really crazy sound system setup but he removed it along with the radio and door speakers from the car before he sold it to me. I don't know that has anything to do with it just thought I'd put that out there.

Is your gauge cluster the only thing not lighting up? Did you try to put in the bulbs both ways on each socket? If not, inspect the wiring harnesses to the cluster to ensure nothing was cut.

The speedometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge do not light up when I turn on the headlights. All the warning lights work and the wiring harness is good.

That is all within the gauge cluster. I refer to whether or not the AC controls light up.

Just a heads up, often times your dashboard lights won't light up if your tail lights are malfunctioning .
