Idle problem cant figure out

Hi guys, my 2000 si has an idle problem. when we rebuilt the car and ran it for the first time the idle was factory and vibrated the car cause of after market motor mounts, so we raised the idle to 1400 rpm and it was smooth as can be. Well next day, when I went to start the car cold , it went right up to 2200 rpm and stayed there until you would shut the car off. However I found out that on a warm start, it goes to the desired 1400 rpm. I cant figure out why every morning (or cold start) it will stay at a 2200 rpm idle. Its very annoying haha. Any help would be great!

They all idle high when they are cold. Yours is just higher because you moved the bar up.

For emissions reason mostly all cars rev up a little on cold starts. It brings the motor to temp faster so the car will reach closed loop quicker. Cars pollute the most when cold. That is probably your issue.

No you don't understand, it will idle at 2400 rpm at cold then when warm will idle the rest of the day at 2200 rpm all day unless you shut the car off. However on a warm start, it will idle perfect at 1400 rpm, where I adjusted it to idle.
