ignition wire??

I have autometer gauges and you have to hook them to an ignition wire. Where can I find this wire and what color is it???

call your local Best Buy and they'll be able to tell you, they have the wiring diagrams on their computers!

if your hooking up a tach then look in your engine bay back on the drivers side between the fire wall and the strut tower there is a single green wire with a rubber boot connected to it. just tap that wire for a tach signal.

okay, stop........... you dont connect them to an ignition wire...... you hook the power wires to a wire that is hot when the ignition is "on".............. this is easy to find. behind your cluster there are a bunch of yellow wires that run to the little sockets like the abs and srs plugs........... just disconnect one of these, preferably one not in use, and route it to your gauges...........
