Hey, i recently bought a 98' civic LX (4dr obv) as my daily driver since i was picking up a bike as well. Ive had many hondas, but never a 4dr nor a 6th gen (always had 4th an 5th gens). So i truly know nothing about these cars. I am curious if anyone can shed some light on as to what i should do? I was about to pick up a bike, then lost a friend in a tragic bike accident so i truly dont want to put my family/friends through that with me. Are 4drs worth doing anything to? Also its dark green, i dont even know what looks good with green ive always had blue, black and white. Im not into body kits and all that crap, so dont suggest it lol. I like slammed on nice wheels/lip and little body mods that usually people dont know i did anything (JDM/EDM). So if anyone has some pics or advice? Or should i just keep it as my daily and buy the bike..

p.s. dont say sell it because i cant..

dont buy the bike. hondas are easy to work on, you can add some performance parts and rims/drop fairly easily and have a nice (but slow) car to drive around.

^ very nice green 4 door, and bikes are so f**ken fun to ride, but definitely a risk every time you get on, i was actually in the same dilema, i had sold my last car and my plan was to buy a $3000 car and $4000 bike but i just decided to buy a $7000 car so i didn't have to hear my girlfriend say how sad she would be if i crashed and blah blah blah, if anything buy a older cheaper starter bike, and save the rest of your money, and after your a decent rider, then sell that and buy a decent bike, my friend bought a brand new R6 and he crashed it 20 minutes after we picked it up, but now he rides an R1 and hes really good at riding, its all preference/convienence my friend

IMO its much harder to work with a sedan then a coupe or hatch..

That is something to take into consideration as well... Finding parts for a coupe/hatch is far easier than finding sedan stuff. For some reason we usually get left out of the loop, but isnt it better than looking like everyone else? I tend to get mean mugged a lot for having a sedan, but honestly I find it funny. Also when I get swapped next year, itll be fun to be able to blow past coupes/hatches bc according to them sedans arent supposed to be faster..

And oh yeah, and if you have kids, the wifey cant make you sell it ;)

His car will be Cypress Green instead of Clover Green though. Which imo looks entierly different. First thing I say to do, ESPECAILLY for Cypress Green... is detail it. They turn so so blue when they're dirty.

I don't know how difficult it is to find parts for sedans (plus you guys get other twin models that are based off of the sedans but aren't Civics but will take those parts!), but I do know that they seem harder to pull off and make look good. I usuaully think a sedan looks good if when I first look at the photos I don't notice a sedan (just because usually the sedans don't look as good modified, so if I just think, "wow, that looks good," then I probably haven't even taken into consideration what body it is yet).

As far as swapping, everything is pretty much the same as a coupe/hatch...

OBDII hydro swaps are going to be the very very easiest, but look around.

You'll see these are "common":
B16A2 (Si)
B16B (CTR)
B18B1 (LS)
B18C1 (GSR)
B18C5 (ITR)
B20B (CR-V)
B20Z (CR-V)
