Shachy? Dose? Spell check next time. It'll make your post a hell of a lot easier to understand, because I honestly don't know what you're saying.

Hot air around center console? Is there like a heat shield under the car missing? I know my center console produces some heat but its not really that bad.

Sounds like excess exhaust heat getting into the cabin area to me, which has NOTHING to do with the ac or the heat.

Shaky motor would be bad motor mounts or if it isn't running right it would need a tune up. Need to describe a bit more. Both your questions are very vague.

My car did the same thing...the heat that is. Was it once an automatic, or did the PO install a short shifter? Mine was swapped to a manual, and the owner before me cut the floor to crap...so hot, smelly air from right around the exhaust was leaking in right by the shifter. I yanked the center console, found the 4 gaping holes he left, and welded them up and bombed them black. No more leak, no sneaky rust, and no heat / smelly air. Yank your console and check for direct openings to the outside world!

Then heat coming up from the e-brake or the shifter is usually from someone taking things apart and not putting them back together 100% and getting in a hurry.

You can probably fix it. Not sure what car you have, but take the console apart if you cannot get it. IIRC there is rubber down there that is supposed to keep air out. Your exhaust runs right underneath that, my eagle talon's Shifter was taken apart before I got it. They put it back in enough to keep it there and make it work, but in the winter time, keeping my hand on the shifter my hand would turn into an icicle. And in the summer time it is constant heat like the window is cracked.

If you can't fix it with the rubber that's in it, Silicone will be your best friend.

Good Luck,

^ Exactly what he said. The guy swapped my car in like 4 hours and had to be home for dinner, so once it was together and running, he rolled out. I got in there, fabbed up a metal plate to cover the openings, siliconed the edges of it then screwed it to the floor. Perfect? Nope. BUT I bombed it so it wont rust, it's held TIGHT, and I don't melt my hands in the summer and freeze in the winter.

Any time now, an alien is gonna pop out from under there! :D

Exhaust man, exhaust.

Related joke: Once some punk told me he didn't have AC, but ran his car with the windows closed anyways 'coz he didn't want his buddy to know he can't afford to have AC. The drove the car sweating bullets. :D
