I'm new here so bare with me

Ok here goes,
I have 98 civic LX 4 door and I need to chage the lights behind the vetelation and AC control panel.How do I remove the panel so I can get to the lights.

And at the same time I would like to put in a radio/cd player how can I remove the old radio.

it's a manual so work space is pretty tight. I NEED HELP PLEASE

welcome to the site... to get your console out

1. open up your glove box and let it hang (on each side there is 2 rubber things, just squeeze the globe box and it will fall down)

2. there should be a screw there (its part of cig lighter panel thing) hodling that side up

3. on the driver side, there are 2 screws, 1 up top, 1 down below, this is for the panel that covers up underneath the steering wheel

4. pull that back, and there are 1 or 2 screws holding in the cig lighter panel...

5. now all screws from the cig panel should be unscrewd and you can pull out the cig lighter panel (remember to pull out the plugs from the cig lighter)

6. there should be 3 or 4 screws underneather where the deck is... the nuts are on the top side (you can see) and are spot welded in... so all you have to do is unscrew the screw

7. pull it out and do you thing


my directions prolly suck, but its the best i feel like doing, good luck

Go to this link below..its for taking out your radio, but its the same if you want to change the lights becasue you got to pull the whole vetelation system and AC controls out...hope this helps..
