im swapping clusters and want to keep my miles ... help

tommarrow im going to get a cluster out a 95 civic ex w/tach its an automatic.Im going to be installing it in my 95 civic dx 5 speed.My question is if someone could post me the instructions on how to keep my mileage? Also whats a good way to cover up the automatic markings on the cluster?Thanks
