Hey everybody. I wasnt sure where to post this so I'm just gonna do it here. I just had my b18c built a few months ago and I plan on going the turbo route. The engine is fully built with rods, pistons, ring, cams, sleeves, etc. I'm wondering what people think about the turbo route. Does anybody here run a big setup? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I'm just trying to get input and see what people thought of a good turbo set up. Anybody know some good examples? I havent finalized anything yet. And if you are gonna tell me to go nitrous, I already did. I Blew my engine with nitrous already. I know, I shoulda known better but it was fun anyway. So, turbo anyone?

Hello!!!! People!! Newbie Here!
lol....I love these threads that start out with "yea I built a fully bullet-proof motor...sleeves, rods, blah blah blah...so can someone tell me what a turbo does....?

:smackself

if you have so much experience/knowledge with motor building, Im sure you should know a thing or two about forced induction

wow, ok just so you know, he does know what hes talkin about, he just started a thread to get people to know him. I met the guy and he's cool , rebuilt the motor himself and also does most of the work every done to the car. He knows what a turbo is and does, but he's just askin for opinions on nice setups peopel have seen. sorry to come off as an ass. ur civic is still awesome., but damn.

so it's built for turbo but u do not have a turbo yet?

if it's fully built and u plan on running high boost def go w/ an equal lenght manifold. . . . personally i would either go w/ a t3/to4e or a t3/60-1 w/ t04s (garrett). depending on the tunners in your area AEM EMS or hondata would be the way to go for fuel mgmt. hopefully u know all the other parts u need for a turbo setup . . . . these are just some specific things i would recomend. main thing is to find the right tunner (unless u know how to tune it yourself)

yeah... a t3/t4 would be nice w/ a 60 ar. equal length mani if you can afford it. hondata would work out. get a good wastegate - cuz if you get a cheap one and it sticks, ur fooked.

what size did you get the block sleeved to?
what compression pistons did you throw in there?

im gunna jump on the current bandwagon and say go with a precision turbo like the sc61, its capable of big numbers and alot of people are running them on their GSR motors..

personally i have a t3/t04e for my setup which is in the making...57 trim...

well he has it running now. I went for a ride today. The problem is that he needs a tuner in the Iowa/Missouri area for his Hondata. He needs it tuned as soon as possible. Does anyone know of of a tuning shop around here that has Hondata experience. And yeah, he's looking to put out some nice numbers. It won't be a daily driver anymore =)
