Increase Viper alarm range

It's been a couple days with my new Viper Alarm 791vx now, and i'm falling in love with it.


But I just realized that my remote didnt respond to the car from the theoretical "quarter mile" range that i've been hearing about. I can't get any signals from the car beyond a few hundred feet. Is there a way to boost the antenna signal for the viper alarm so my key can reach that signal (Vice versa)?

I wouldn't really believe viper's claim of a 1/4 mile...

Yeah the 1/4 mile range is B.S.

I just got my viper alarm installed and it only works like 30 feet away.
