Injector size...

Quick question about fuel injectors, ive read that i need 440cc to hit my 300whp mark on the d16. What i would like to know is, if i get 440's right now without my bottom end build can i run them to be about the same AFR as with the stock injectors? Basically i want to turn the boost up to around 8psi from 5 before i rip her all apart, but the tuner told me not to unless i got bigger injectors first. Instead of buying two different sets of injectors, one for the 8-10lbs before build, and the 440's to hit my 300whp could i use the 440's for like 200whp until im built and ready for 300.. or would it be too much fuel?

just upgrade to 450ccs now, save the trouble.

Well, thats what i plan on doing. I just wanted to be sure that it wouldnt be overkill to the point i wouldnt be able to drive it on low boost.

450 dsm's.....do you have a vafc or anything to control the amount of fuel to idle correctly?

Nope, ive got a crome chipped ecu with a basemap for right now.. so i figure ill just have my tuner burn me another basemap for the new injectors.

yeah just have him tune it so that it gives out the correct amount of fuel or your idle will be f**ked up so ive heard...im just using an afc hack right now and leaning it out a little bit

hacks are junk, get a chipped ECU or similar engine management

dsm 450s are really cheap and get the job done, just make sure you have someone there to tune it right when you start it up or have a base map made before hand cause it wont run dumping all that fuel in there. i would know
