Innovatek Dual DVD Decks.. any good?

I want to buy dvd deck for my hatch, but I don't want to spend too much money on it.

Currently I have two dvd decks in mind, Dual DVD 7"" Deck XDVD-8182, or Innovatek's 3.6''.

The Dual is approximately $400 and Innovatek is a bit cheaper but smaller screen.

Anyone using any of these dvd decks? are they good? reliable? long life-time? wat about visuals or sounds or pixels, etc..

Any comment would be great!

it's an older model, but i've heard that the newer ones are even better.

The Dual deck is really not that bad. I would say if you want a cheap monitor, go to best buy and get the dual. Just make sure you get the four year service plan so you make sure you have a monitor for a while. No reson to buy it cheaP OFF OF E BAY TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS THEN HAVE IT CRAP OUT ON YOU.

i had one of those innovatek monitors lasted 2 weeks video processor burnt you get what you pay for

One of my friends has the DUAL in his car and it works great he hasnt had any problems with it yet im getting the same one soon.

I got an innovatek in dash works ok goodpicture but hard for he driver to see but a buddy of mine got the jensen flip it worked well until it got stolen 3 days ago. take that extra five minutes to screw it to th dash. trust me : )

Hmmm. I did not know that.


I read somewhere that Audiovox bought Jensen but I did not know that Dual was one of thier sub-marques.

Learn something new everyday!

Anyway....my experience with Dual has not been that great. Motor drives on the faceplate etc... tend to take a premature dump.

I don't think that Audiovox owns Dual. They are just made out of the same plant under the same specs
