alright heres the thing. i was going to buy a b18c5 (type r) but after searching around. people want a damn arm and a leg for just the engine. let alone buying a tranny for it. Ive came to conclusion that buying a b16 will be cheaper and also easier because im more familiar to them. So what would be the strongest b16 engine with good power. and the engine will be going into a 1999 civic ex.

The b16b probably has the most power but that's almost as much as a Gsr type r motor, so probably just get a b16a2

get the b16a2, straight out of a 99-2000 civic si, easiest to swap. but the JDM b16a (notice the absence of the last number) supposedly puts out a bit more HP, but not too noticable.

thank you as well. and yes the b16a2 engines down here are rather easy and cheaper to find.
