A few months ago, for one day, my CEL would blink when I started the car but would eventually go away. It did it a few times in a row when I started the car that day, but didn't do it again the next day or since. When my computer gets read tomorrow at the inspection will my car tell the testing computer that the CEL went off, even if it was months ago? It's a 2005 EX.

usually a flashing cell means a misfire did you get it scanned ?? before you get your emissions done take it to autozone or advanced auto and they will do it for free so you know whats going on.

I haven't gotten it scanned. It hasn't done it in months though, and when it happened I felt no change in performance, which led me to believe it was probably emmissions related.

then you should be fine if the cell is not on.

Good, I'm just worried that with ECU's getting more and more sophisticated with the ever increasingly strict emmissions standards, that the ECU will log that info away and tell the inspection computer of the CEL incident.

As long as it's not on, you're fine.
