inspection with turbo

I read that DRAG turbo kits are not street legal. does this mean i won't pass inspection? i've seen lots of cars on www.cardomain.com that are owned by people that drive them everyday with this turbo kit. my question is: would my car pass inspection so i could still drive it around everyday? how do people with non street-legal turbo kits get by?

i know some guys in Texas with Drag turbo kits and they don't have problems passin inspection....i live in alabama so i don't have to worry about inspections

i hate maryland... if i ever get more serious with my car im moving. MD is in some ways more strict than CA with emissions and car s**t... its f**king gay.
