It is easy... take off the old one - plug up the new one. If you car is OBD2 you have to plug in the air sensor into your intake. Your intake should have come iwth instructions unless you got a POS 5 dollar intake. If you get cheap s**t its goign to = the quicker your car f**ks up. Take time to save up money and do it right.

Pull out all the piping from inside the passenger front bumper through the pass fender well. Undo the factory airbox, put the new tubing and filter in and bingo you're ready!

ouch man, I think that that was a mistake..I would have gotten AEM CAI for 130 bucks on ebay not a 50 buck in take..remember, you get what you pay for

I've got one for sale. It's easy to install. Start at the throttle body and rip all the oem stuff out, piece by piece. All the rubber stuff I mean. Then jack up your car and take of the wheel. Drop CAI into the opening, install filter, then bolt/wire tie it on and then use a coupler to bolt it on to your throttle body. Reinstall all sensors. put wheel back on. Enjoy the hummmmmmm and the added 40 horsepower.

just as an FYI

a.) without a larger exhaust to compensate for the increased air flow, running at high rpm's for an extended period of time can cause some seals to break and can cause fluids to leak. (Speaking from experience, drove home from Philly to Niagara Falls at an avg speed of 95mph and noticed an oil leak bout a week later, my mechanic told what could have caused it and he said exactly what I had done).

b.) Header and exhaust with the intake will let your engine breathe better. You mentioned you want the intake b/c it's a mod for the engine, so are the other two.

c.) Even after doing an intake header and full catback, you might (MIGHT) gain 6hp. Your car will certainly sound faster, but you will still get owned on the street.
