put my skunk2 shifter in this morning.... took way longer than it should have. some of the bolts decided they didnt want to go back in, so i had to f**k with that for the better part of an hour... pain in the ass, but its all done now, and its great.

new gear pics...

I wish i had taken pics of the shift distance before, i just didnt think about it.

i got the shifter from a guy on clubsi.com for 60 bucks shipped, and its in great shape. thats a pretty good price if you ask me. the energy suspension bushings were another 15 from wiredspeedlab.com. the shift is absolutely awesome, cant wait to get a skunk2 knob to go with it all.

I've always heard of short shifters messin' up the syncro's in the some of the gears. But it does look good. Good luck!

Ooo.. a 6th-gen dual-bend owner.

Can you take pictures of the shifter sticking in neutral from atop or the drivers point of view... and does the shifter come into contact with your heat shields down there (making any of that scratching or rattleing noises)??

i havent had any problems with the shifter rattling, but i have apexi n1 exhaust so it hangs lower than stock...

here's a few of the pics you wanted (as close as i have anyway)

**before anyone says something, the boot is now permenantly up against the bottom of the shift knob, i stuck a little plastic washer on the shifter that holds it up in the perfect spot.

also, yes, i definately wanted to dump the sparco knob for the skunk2... the skunk2 feels so much nicer, and it looks great with the CTR shift boot.

My d15's got a little over 417,000 KMs now (which equates to about 250K in miles) and is still running strong. Well... as strong as it ever was... which is pretty wimpy. All that will change this fall with my LS/Vtec swap =) .
I'm also wanting to get a new shifter, but don't know if I need one for my car (EG9), or the tranny (S1). Any knowledge on this anyone?
