Does anyone know how to install a volt gauge? I bought one but the directions are a little unclear. Do i ground the negative off to the chassis, and wire the red wire to the battery? I know for the illumination i just conect the plus and minus to any 12 volt source i have on my dash correct? Any how-tos would be great, i searched the how to area but came up empty.

- to good ground
+ to something 12v in the car.. or an open fuse panel point.. you can tie it into anything using the cars electrical system the whole time the car is on.. for example the cig lighter power supply

this sounds like a dumb question, but hell with it. On the cigarette lighter wiring, the black one is the ground correct? the white and green one is the 12v source correct?

edit: Could i wire the positive wire together with the led power wire and wire that to the cigarette lighter? would that work or should i just wire them separately different 12v sources?

the light should go to a source that is only on when the lights are on
the signal should be a wire that is always hot when the car is on.

so by default you should be wiring them seperately..
