hey all

i've got a perfectly good set of Alpine components and amp waiting to be isntalled in my civ...

the comps. are 6.5, so i kno the woofer will fit perfectly...but now...i have the cx hatch (think its a cx) with no tweeter in the door...

sooooo...my question is this

how could i go about installing these with drillin no hole? my doors are unlike any civic doors i've seen...they're like a 2 tone color and i dont wanna mess them up...

any ideas?
thanks!

maybe you could mold a piece to mount the tweets out of plastic or fiberglass....you know, fit it in the space on the inside of where there mirror mounts to the door?? thats how my tweets are in my 04 ex....just an idea

Can you mount that tweet on the woofer? try that and see if it will fit under the kick panel.....

If it doesnt fit, you need the piece of the A pillar that the tweet fits in for proper fitment.

it depends on what alpine component they are if you are going with the type r they will not fit perfectly. The type r is a beefy woofer and you will have to modify the door panel.
for the tweet you might as well cut. If you try to get it in with the woofer its going to defeat the purpose of having a component

i have Type S components...

eh....i guess i'll just be forced to cut something....i dont reall want to...

i chose type s over type r...i work at a car audio shop, and even though type r's hit deeper and harder and etc, type s's actually pick up better frequency's...or are cleaner...and they're cheaper! haha...

Done it. Not worth the effort. Overpriced crappy speakers.
