Installing Indash - Foot Brake Lamp

This may seem like a noob question, but I am trying to install my indash. There is one wire for the parking brake and one wire for the foot brake. I just added a switch and grounded my parking brake wire. My question is where is the foot brake lamp wire? Alpine indashs require you to press the foot brake, engage the parking brake, disengage the parking brake, engage the parking break again, then release the foot brake. The switch for the parking brake would allow me to just press the brake, flick the switch 3 times, release the brake.

So yea, my question is where is the foot brake wire?

foot brake wire? u could possibly run the wire to your rear brake lights or find a wiring diagram and see which one it is under your dash..

...cant you just ground out those wires to make it work?

or why not just wire it to a 12v source and your own hand switch?

you have to ground out i think the pink wire, and u dont have to use all that s**t. i forget which wires it is.

my friend has the same deck in his car (alpine w200). he got it done professionaly, they wired it the way i described it. i could use two switchs (one +12 , one -12 ground) but thats too much of a hassle. i like the way his is setup, its simple to do.

ye.. i guess ill search for that now.. if anyone has it already, i'd be a great help
