hey, i juss recently bought an OEM factory alarm and i was juss wondering how to install it myself?

the only thing i have is the actual system, a remote, and operating instructions.. i see that there is a slot where the adaptor goes, but i'm not sure where to put the actual alarm itself..

if anyone has installed an alarm on their car or knows how to, help would b greatly appreciated

thanks!

Did you get a new headunit with this alarm? I think you've been had man, I've heard the alarm relay or whatever is located in the headunit, and without that. You really can't do much. I would go with an aftermarket alarm.

do you already have an aftermarket head unit in the car? If you do you're going to need to wire it up so you can run both the stock and aftermarket. They sell harnesses to do so. Not sure where to get one though, maybe some one will post it. Once you get that done, just put the radio under the dash, behind the center console. This is what alot of people do.

Or you can get past it all and sell the alarm, and buy an aftermarket alarm for not have this hassle.

there is a green plug in the dash near the radio, 2 of them, one goes into the stock radio for keyless and another for the alarm, the alarm module itself sits in the top of the factory headunit. you WILL NEED the factory headunit for the alarm to work

do i need more wiring? or will the green plug work by itself to activate it?
