so as I already posted a couple weeks ago I'm getting my car back on the road very soon, actually this Wednesday! Anyway I was working getting it ready this past Saturday. I put new tires on and re-installed my stereo. After I was done I went to move it back to the parking spot my parents are letting me use at their house and the lights for my gauges aren't working at all. Now I think I'm right in assuming the 7.5 fuse labeled instrument lights is it. I checked it and it was indeed blown. Replaced it and it blew right away. Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? BTW this is a 98 LX

Well 7.5 is the right one, it might be your stereo wiring.

he he he... not a good idea if its supposed to be a 7.5.... lol

Did you mess around with anything related to those lights?? Sounds like there is a short somewhere in the line......try removing your dimmer switch out of the line and see if thats causing it. Otherwise, have fun searching... :(

hmm... I think you will have to pop out the bottom kick panel under the steering wheel and get to it from behind. Im not sure. I never tried... I believe you can get in there the way I described. =)

well I know how to get the dimmer switch out, it's a matter of basically bypassing it since there's the factory harness for it
