Intake Sensor Mod

I have a Turbocharged 00 EX. sohc vtec. My intake temp sensor is just hanging down in the engine bay taking heat, and its messin up my ride. i have seen those resistor mods to "Add up tp 20+ horsepower!!!" . what a joke, but I need it because i dont have a cold place to put it. If I put it in my Intake pipe, every time i let off the gas, it would pop out. hehe.

So here is my question, is there anybody who knows the specific resistor that i need to bridge the Temp sensor to trick the ecu that its reciving cold air? (by doing so, the computer will in-rich the engine, counteracting leanicy). I dont feel like spending $20 for a 13cent resistor at radio shack.

Thanks

Get rid of the unbelievably plyable intake manifold boot and pick up 3" of harder coolant hose from a truck shop====international/peterbilt/freightline/mack/western star etc... Plumb that in where the intake manifold meets the intercooler piping and cut a small slit in the boot, slide your sensor in there, it will stay in that boot. Running 12psi on mine for 2 years and it has never came out that way. The hell with paying that extra money for that easy fix. By tricking your ecu to thinking its cooler is wasting fuel, might as well be dumping it on the ground...............

Fix it somehow so it doesnt pop out :D
It's better to keep it in.. so it does its job.
AFAIK (well, at least what I've read on few forums), not only it adjusts fuel, but also ignition timing (colde air vs hot air - advance/retard).
