Okay, so I was driving down the highway today and my car started acting really weird and like it was dieing, and so i got off the exit and i went to light and i could hardly go in 1st gear almost stalling, so i made it to a parking lot and me and my buddy checked out the car, turn it off, then back on and its fine....so there is a tube on the original intake and when you take it off and put your finger over it you can feel it sucking air in and the engine almost dies, so Im thinking that it is some sort of vacuum? So i dont have the hose back on because I didnt get a chance to weld a nipple to put it on....but now it doenst even suck in at all, and my boost gauge doesnt show any boost even though i am hitting it and the vacuum is at 30 and it used to be at around 22-25...If this doenst make sense ill try and explain better but please help me if you can....

I'm a bit comfused here. So there's a tube connected to the intake manifold and you took the tube off and felt a vacum? But, now their isn't anymore? I'm correct so far? :?: can you explain in more detail

It seems to me that your car is turbo, and you have nothing on the breather hole. Depending on the ammount of boost, this can be contributing a vaccum leak. May want to get this fixed.

yes it is turbo just recently and today since i had that problem, it was idling very spuratically (spelling) jumping from like 500 to almost 1100....back and forth

it seems to me that there is a vacuum since it used to suck in my finger sort of and now theres nothing at all. its like putting my finger on a plain piece of tubing.....u were correct so far....i dont know exactly where the tube connects to, i follwed it down somewhere past the intake manifold

aahhh, I had the same problem on mine. It was the vacum line connected to the idle sensor(or the line going the evaporator can). Since I broke the nipple off, as a quick fix, I duck taped the hole up. You'll have to get a new idle sensor since it is turbo. If that doesn'e work, bring it to a shop to diagnois a vacum leak.

it sounds like you need a missing link, but you should throw a code when you stay in boost for a couple seconds.

missing links are hack fixes...

find your leak, and address it

Whats a missing link?

it makes it so your map sensor doesnt read the positive pressure in the intake manifold. thus making it freak out and send a bad signal to the ecu making the ecu throw a code making you bog and run horrible.

The hose that i took off and didnt put back on is right before the intake manifold....not really anywhere near the turbo

My idling is sort of back to normal, its hard to tell sometimes its fine sometimes not....but the boost gauge vacuum is at like 28-30, and when i step on the gas it doesnt go to 0 it goes to 10...and when i am building boost it goes from 10, 9, 8...so on...instead of 0,1,2 psi....so i really have no idea what it could be thats why im askin you guys, its confusing as hell

so you have an open nipple after the turbo? so you basically have a huge boostleak now...

if your gauge is going to 10 with no load on the motor, i think you need to buy a new boost gauge

No lol sorry....there is no nipple on there now....nothing to attach the hose that is just sitting around my engine bay onto. There was a nipple from the orignial intake that the tube connected onto...

and when i step on the gas the boost gauge reads -10 for vacuum, not 10 for boost, but when i let off it goes down again.
