:rolf:

Intercoolers don't take air in ... they're designed like a radiator ... does your radiator leak coolant like a sieve? If not, then feel free to drive your turbo'ed car in any conditions.

and plus....when you think about it...if it gets all wet...it'll be even better because it will cool down intake temps a bit more. since your moving and its wet, it'll get colder than what it would when its not raining.

you must be talking about the cold air intake that looks like a FMIC but in fact isn't, that will not work with a turbo and would not be ideal for driving in the rain, but just like everyone else has stated that the FMIC is safe to drice in the rain

If I end up with our PT and my wife gets the new car, I'm going to rig a water mister for the intercooler. That is to say, I am intentionally going to spray my IC with a very fine mist of distilled water intentionally getting it wet (and cool! )

Rain has not done a thing to the IC yet.

the best part is that you get cooler charge temps, and no traction in the rain hahaha, that's the best
