Since Honda wants me to be unhappy, they didn't give any 96-00 sedans a black interior. If I purchase one of these sedans, the first thing to do would be a black interior (i know, im anal like that). That means buying a black dash, steering wheel, carpet, door inserts, and then custom work to finish off the seats and various plastic pieces. The ceiling and pillars can stay the factory color. Anyone work at a shop or know about how much I could expect to pay for all this including installation? I saw $1200 for just seats, and I obviously would want more than that.

i hated my grey interior in my 97 ex, getting dirty, fading etc. after doing my interior i could have bough myself a swap. here is what i paid. black carpet (ACS/Dorsett $120 shipped), re-upholstered back seats (black leather w/ green inserts) $220, Corbeau Cr1 seats $800, black CTR door panels w/ green inserts (sold red inserts) $300, CTR door sills $150, dyed dash black (local business that does work for dealerships) $50. matching green suede headliner with black H stitched in sunroof portion $150. there is a bunch of other stuff that has to be bought like vents and all, but i had to paint my rear panels w/ ppg automotive paint . my local upholstry shop told me that they dont make a dark green automotive fabric, and nothing else would hold up so i had to order green fabric straight from the manufacturer which used it in early 80's Lincolns, so it was hard to get. but when its done it is well worth it. i'll get some pics up too
that's some cool stuff going on. sounds expensive. good luck and post pics. anybody know what a complete dash would go on a site like this?
really? I was told the coupe and hatches came in black and it woudl swap. did they misinform me?
whoever told you that fails at life and needs to kill themselves... the only black interiors ever in 6th gen civics were from Civic Type Rs only offered in Japan and other countries... not the US and in any country that they were offered in, they were right hand drive. correct me if im wrong anyone but I believe that is correct
