Interior Electronics Replacement

Hi All...

I'm having an issue with my 2003 civic EX air conditioner, and I've determined that I need to replace my under-dash fuse box. My question is this: If I get a replacement part, do I need to use the exact same year & model type? For example, can I use a 2004 Civic EX fuse box in my 2003 Civic EX?

Thanks!!

how did you determine that? what are the symptoms?

I ran the testing needed according to the service manual (which correlated to the testing done in the thread above). The only way I was able to get the AC system to blow cold air was to jump the 3 relays in the under hood fuse box (condenser fan, radiator fan, and a\c clutch). The fan does, however, run during normal operation of the car, just not with the AC system. I also ran all the interior testing...all leads me to the multiplex.

Does anyone have any other recommendations? I'm trying to now find a replacement fuse box but if there's anything else i should check before laying out the $$ please let me know

how many fuses does this fusebox hold? Is it the main box? If so, I would think it would be affecting other parts of the car. If it is just 3 Relays I would just buy some new relays and wire them in myself. If you can jump the relays and get the fan to work then you have already done the hard part.

Thanks for your thoughts...actually the relays are working just fine, i can use each of them in the horn relay socket and the horn still does work. It seems to be that the problem is with the signal to turn on even getting to that relay box.
