Interior lighting HELP!!!

I have some LED strips and i want to wire them into my dome light so that when i open my door, they will come on, but i dont know which wire to connect it to and where, or where to run the wiring! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

The wire for the dome light should run through the drivers b pillar. Tap into it there.

Would that tap into the switch for the door too?

That wire set is after the door switch so it should cause what ever light that is tapped into it to come on same as the dome light. Just use a wire tester and find what wire is on when the door is actually open.

or you could take off the dome light cover and look for the tow wires, then just find those wire in the drivers side pillar. thats what i did.

Both the permanent power wire and the switch wire are going down the b pillar on the drivers side

Where are you putting the led strips and what color are they?

I personally would replace the bulbs with led bulbs, but i wouldnt go as far as led strips or anything it may look good idk not my style.

Well, the LED streips are blue and im gonna hide them under my dashboard so no one will know ther're there until i open the door, and in the back of my car and under my seats
