I want to put 2 of those mini red neons on my red car. They told me that you have to hook them to a 12v supply and ground it. I don't know what they are saying... I want them to work when the headlights light right? So i just need to find and attach( by ripping the wire??) of the headlights and earth the thing???

And would the mini neons would 2 neons be enough for lighting? Would they be intense???

are you talking about mounting them in the interior or underneath your car?

Mounting them in the interior, under the dash where you put your feet.

the easiest way to hook them up is too a switch this way if you need them off for some reason you can do so.. when you get the neons there will be two wires.. one will more than likely be red and the other should be black.. black is the ground (goes to some solid metal point on the car) the red ones can be tied together then to a switch.. you can mount this switch anywhere.. i suggest somewhere hidden this way if you ever get tired of it you are not stuck with a big ugly hole.. then wire teh switch to a power source..in the past ive wired things to the cigaret lighter power wire (behind the dash) and just went with a slightly larger fuse for the lighter (although you may not need to) and yes two should be plenty...

Yeah definately do a switch. Trust me, after time you will get tired of them being on.

from experience (i have 4 inside right now) i would put the switch under the lip right under the climate control and right above the cigarrette lighter, completely inconspicuous.

or be like me and custom mold them into the interior pieces that pop out by the brake.

I take really care of my car as you can see. Those mini tubes have high intensity light, no? Would they do ANY harm to the car, maybe regarding fading of dash or carpet?????

no...I have never heard of a interior neon tube fading fabrics. There's no way in hell those tubes have near the UV light or w/e as the sun.

Should I go with blue neons or red? I have a lava red car with gunmetallic rims and black tints.

And you guys are saying that there are 2 wires (black and red) The red has to be stuck to the wire headlights. Now by saying this, what exactly should you do?? \rip the wire and twist them together, what?

Go with red neons. I did and it looks good. I hung them under the seats with zip cords and they light up the front and the back seat floor areas pretty well. Get your neons on e-bay too if you haven't already-it's way cheaper than in stores.
And when you do the wiring, after you hook the red wire to a switch, you don't have to mess with your cig lighter, just attach a female quick connect (radio shack $0.50), run wire through your center console and plug it into an open outlet in interior fuse pannel-located bellow the change droor.

The mechanic did not know which wire was the light switch, so he had to punch TINY holes to three other wires until he finnally found it. This is no biggy right? I got 2 6inch BLUE tubes under the dash. Man they look nice!!!

well I'd imagine he just took a straight pin and stuck it through so he could get a reading with a meter. IF that's the case then no nothing will hurt that or is wrong at all. If you are really concerned about it thouh, just take some electrical tape and wrap it around the wire where the holes are
