Introducing Myself

Livin' The Low Life
Hello fellow members, names Mike, and i am new in the civic scene. I have owned imports before, my last being a 01 GS300, but since i have recently moved to Texas, i decided to get myself a civic and enjoy the mpg and fwd for the winter. I got my 01 civic ex with just over 100k miles, with major hail damage, for a great price so i bought it. It had little modification done but for the most part was stock. Since purchase in Nov. i have ditched the rear wing, pink stripes, and mud guards. I have added neuspeed lowering springs, and c.a.i. (long story). I am currently debating doing a full build and making this my project vehicle, or buying another. I love the look of the EM2 but the drive train lacks as we all now. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and finding some meets in my area if any. here are some pics of my ride, sorry in advance for bad iphone photos!

:welcome: to CC

Nice job so far. Personally I would keep that as the daily and get a second project car. While it can be done, there isn't much support for that generation when it comes to modifications. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the welcome and feedback, i have some more pics here. I agree, with the amount of money i would be spending to build it to my liking im thinking keep it as a dd and buy something else to tune for race/track.

Here i decided to just strip and paint over the old weather stripping since i could not source any new ones any where.

Next i plan on painting my rusted exhaust flat black until i can find a decent sounding one i like for sale... pics soon

Not bad at all man id keep this as the dd and get something else for a project. Like stated before there isnt really any aftermarket mod support for that year.

I disagree, I think there's plenty of support for the 7th gens (01-05). They're not as well supported as the 6th gens (96-00), but there's still plenty that can be done in both the show and go categories.

Anyway, welcome to the club!

I've been thinking about that, but to be honest, this em2 has so much body damage im better off just building a diff vehicle. If im going to build a vehicle i want it to be show worthy, not some beat up POS with a swap. It looks like someone drove this thing 90mph through a hail storm or took it to the driving range and smashed golf balls into it. I am leaning towards k swapping a hatch or em1 as of now and just DD my super slow em2. But who knows

Welcome to the site. Yeah you might be better off just finding a shell with a decent body.

I personally love the way 7th gens look. I like what you've done with the car. I've had some sandpaper sitting at my house because I've been planning to do the same thing to my window trim that you did. What grit sandpaper did you use?
