Is 127,000miles to high to Supercharge? What problems can I expect to run into if I supercharge a high mileage engine.

Depends on the condition of the engine, whats your setup?

You may be ok for a while BUT the motor will eventually need to be rebuilt. In my honest opinion..... i'd rebuild it with low compressions pistons before you s/c it. It would allow you to run higher boost pressures.

milage is IMO not really a good way to judge what shape the internals are in. If you want to know how good your running go get a leak down test and a compression test. Those will let you know how good everythings lookin and sealing up.

I will have to get those tests done. thanks for the info. I have heard of people running the JRSC between 150,000 and 170,000miles.

What do you think those tests will costs me ( I know, I will call around )?

I plan on rebuilding the motor later on, I just figured I could have a few years (1-3) of fun with the supercharger before I do. Plus, It wouldn't be that big of a deal to rebuild AFTER the supercharger has been on for a while....... or would it???

Not really. It's an old team from my paintballing daysthat just stuck around. I've probably been using it for 5 or 6 years now. Come to think about it, it may be time for a change soon.

yes sir.
I've got 180k on the body and who knows on the JDM d15b and it seems to hold up pretty well. Smokes on shifts and such, but oh well
