Is a sleeve required to install a Pioneer head unit in a 95 hatch?

hey,

i'm looking to replace the factory radio with a pioneer deh-1900mp head unit in a 95 dx hatch. there are a couple of used ones being sold on the forum but they come with just the radio itself and doesn't include that metal sleeve that you sometimes have to slide into the factory opening first. my question is if that sleeve is needed in this application. if anyone has a pioneer unit installed, can you let me know? thanks.

yes you need the sleeve for every aftermarket radio.
