I have a stock 96 civic EX coupe, and i want to install a good name brand turbo kit.

My question is, would it still be street Legal, and pass inspection?

I have another Turbo civic, but its not my daily driver, so i dont care about legal and inspection with that one, its a project car that I am building for track drag racing.

But the stock civic i just bought is my daily driver, and I want more power by installing a turbo kit, but i want it to pass inspection too. Is this possible?

Umm Greddy I think Apexi and the Edelbrok were all carb legal. They didn't make the Apexi kit very long, the Edelbrock kit isn't made anymore I don't think. Greddy also stopped making the sohc kit also. Sooooo I don't know lol. In order to get a real carb legal product it cost tons of money so companies skip out on that, it makes for a big price tag in the end. I have a never used Greddy kit with the emanage blue, not just the little blue box, it's suppose to be carb legal but I didnt see a carb sticker.

It's definitely possible! There's tons of people running turbo civics that pass inspection!

PA isn't a really difficult state to pass inspection..

I've got a 1992 hatch with a turbo and it passes each and every time. OBD1 FTW!

Oh ok, thats good to know. Money isnt a problem either, ill pay $4k for a turbo kit, it doesnt matter to me. I just dont want to have a problem with getting inspected, and then having to search for somewhere that will pass it for an extra fee, off the books. lol. Its a pain. I had to do that with my S13, and i hated it.
