I have a 92 with roughly 173xxx miles it runs strong but didnt know if it would hold up to a turbo.. ive been looking around and turbo is about the only way to get the power i want out of the car.
Right now ive removed ac compressor, ps pump, added short throw, dc sport header, winch exhaust, cat delete, dc muffler, lighter rims, bigger fuel rail, bigger fuel pump, cold air intake.. i have a intake mani off a d16y8that im having polished then illhave it on as well.. but help me out.. should i just swap for the d16 then look into turbo? Or just to a engine rebuild then turbo..... help!

This all depends on your plans/goals for your car and whether or not it will satisfy your wants. So what are your goals?

You will love as little as 5psi. I sure did. It's a change you can really feel and it will make you happy for a while. What are the goals?

Will the motor hold? No one will know. Too many factors take place when you increase HP. Depends on how you drive it, how you take care of it. How good the tune is. ect ect

Don't forget you'll need to put in a decent clutch if it hasn't been changed in a long time.

anything is worth it if your willing to spend the money, i boosted my d16 at 178,000 and now have 205,000 and its still running strong. the only thing about the d15 is they can only handle about 175hp on the stock block when the d16 can handle 220hp on a stock block, so if 175 hp is ok with you then do it

Most stock out of the box turbo kits will only get you to around 130whp. Keeping in mind the d15 is prolly putting down 92whp. So again it helps the have a goal. If you want to break out of the 130 range you'll need a boost controller, bigger fuel injectors (450's - 650's) and a tune.

Yea ive put bigger injectors on but not sure what they are some one gave them to me. I plan to go all out with the turbo kit. But begining to think if im going to make a drag ready car i need to drop money on a bigger motor...
