Is this a good turbo for my d16 application?

Like the title states, I'm wondering if this is a good turbo to put on my d16y8 and also, in general, is it a good turbo?

Well first of all thats a chinese turbo, so the quality is hit or miss. 2nd I don't think you could ever hit 600whp with it like is says, and a "good sized turbo" depends on your goals.

You could get a little quicker spool with a 50trim .48ar, but like I said it depends on your goals.

dang dude that looks to be pretty big at first glance. Whats the trim and a/r for both turbine and compressor? What are your goals also. Depending on boost and hp goals you could go with say 14b or t25 to go up to say 200hp or so or go with a small garret gt28r or a small t3 and most of those would get you to 250 plus. Remember though, your motor prolly wont handle more than 225-250whp. People have run this and higher, but its generally not recommended.

^ It says t3/t04 57trim (with stage 2 or 3 wheels), .50ar cold side, and .63 hot side. Not that big but kinda laggy for not that much power.

It would help if that compressor had a .60a/r.

why is it junk? s simple seal change, and run a oil restrictor, should be good.

wow that price is ridiculous. you can get a garrett turbo with the same specs for $100 cheaper than it would cost you to buy and have that turbo shipped to your house. but to answer your question that turbo is a good turbo for your d16. just look around for better prices and better quality

How about this one, guys? I'd change the blow off valve eventually and the wastegate to a tial, but other than that, would this be worth the money?
