Well firstly is like to say thankyou for letting me in the site,I have just got a 1996 civic vti ek4 b16a2,I got this car blind and am looking for help,firstly I was told it had coilovers which when I picked it up was sat on its arse and have to admit I liked until I drove as it bottomed out on the slightest bump so got to work put on ramp and have to admit I know jack about suspension,it has the standard shocks with springs that are tiny on a thread with a large kinda nut to adjust,everything looks wrong about it!! I played around and made car higher now my front end is like a trampoline,the back end just squeaks and knocks,please help me!!!!

Shocks are probably blown which is why it is bouncy, could be cheap springs too. The springs are adjustable coilover sleeves. Any markings, writings, color, etc on the springs? It will be easier to tell you what they are.
