You do realize that while superchargers are great and all, any forced induction is going to do baaaad things to a high-milage vehicle. Also, it's only a 40% increase in power, so the same $2800 you spend on a supercharger for your z6, you could swap in a b16 and have WAY better compression and something to build on and only 10 less horsepower. THEN you buy the high boost kit and throw on your 11psi pulley =)

Anyways, do what you want, it's your money.

yeah i realize that.. and i dont expect my engine to last a whole lot longer. i figured once i get the lareg purchase of the supercharger out of the way, if my engine were to croke on me i can go buy a newer d16 for about 600. then just throw the charger on that. any opinions? and i would rather go supercharged, because i dont have a whole lot of time to keep maintanence on a turbo.

I would do a compression test on the engine. See if it can even handle any boost. If it can, then get the sc, if it can't, then get a new engine before you waste the money on the sc.

i know people say that SC arn't as good as turbos in the 1/4 mile or w/e but if you think about it on a d series engine it has like no toque and it just seems more practical that a SC on a d series engine would be faster then a turbo because i herd from somehwere that a SC produces better numbers..... but they say you have so much toque you can't get traction but on a d series engine i doubt you can have THAT much torque ya know>?
