if i want a B16A swap into my 92 civic, do i need the complete swap? or can i just get the Motor, ECU, and Tranny. Do i need the axles, shift linkage, and motor mounts which is included in the complete swap; or can i just use my stock ones. Three of those cost about $550 more in the complete swap.

Yes you do need the axles, because they are larger to deal with the increased power and im pretty sure they have diff splines, you need the shift linkage because a b16 uses a hydro tranny and most USDM 5th gen civics have cable, forcing you to switch in a conversion, and definately you need motor mounts, because the b series engines have different mounting points than the d series, because they are heavier and larger. also its a good idea to get those new mounts, b/c chances are they are urethane, and if you have ever changed your shifter bushings for urethane, you know its the s**t.
exactly what 5th gen civics are you lookin at that have cable trannys... cus all the 5th gens i know of have hydros. the 4th gen has a cable. you use 3 b series mounts and one d series mount to get the b series to sit correctly, and you can use teh stock mounts.Originally posted by sherpagoodness

sorry about the previous posts, i was mixed up about the hydro tranny. but anyways i was reading on another thread that the b16a2 (del sol si) has a hydro tranny so maybe you dont, but definately need the axles bro
