JDM exterior conversion

I have a 99 coupe and I want to do a full jdm exterior conversion. I already found the front end conversion (bumper, fenders, side markers, fog lights, and headlights) but what about the rear bumper? Is it any different than ours here in the states (oem) and what about side skirts?

first of all you can't have a JDM coupe.

You are the right track to get the JDM theme. If i do recall some ppl put back lights into their rear bumper, that is usually done on hatchbacks. Get a rear lip and call it a day.

Yes you can. Please check oc's link above. The JDM coupes don't have "SiR' bumpers on them, but yes, there are JDM (6G) coupes. It just seems the shorter hatchback and the more practical sedan were more popular in Japan.

Iit's a common misconception because I think most people think that ALL JDM 6Gs are EK chassis. As you can see in the link, the coupes are not EKs as there are not EK coupes.

For a '99-'00 there is no difference in the front or rear bumpers though. There is a difference for some models of '96-'98 sedans and hatches over there. The coupe, to my knowledge, does not come with the SiR bumpers that the sedan and hatch come with. But the sedan rear bumpers are the same as coupe rear bumpers as far as fitment goes.

Does this look like a legit kit, and I already have those headlights, so they are giving me the fog lights with the switch instead. What do you guys think?

The bumper should be the same as the USDM one. Fenders have indents for the sidemarkers, but otherwise this is all the same as what you already have. Save cash and just keep your stock bumper. Buy the JDM fenders and the foglights seperately (and city light wiring and switch if you don't have them) instead.

So basically they have the same look we do just with different fenders, side skirts, and a lip kit?

The JDM CTR front lip is the exact same part number as the USDM Si lip. Side skirts are the same too.

The only exterior differences are:
- Headlights (no reflectors or shields and color is darker on CTRs)
- Upper Grill (no emblem on CTR - on hood instead - and has a metal mesh backing instead of the thick slots other models have)
- Foglights (yellow available, also have clear like USDM)
- Taillights (no reflectors)
- Fenders (indents for sidemarkers)
- Rear Lip (OEM rear lip - flares out more than USDM rear lip)

The most recent time that happened was some kid saw Jason and I walked up to Jason's hatch in an auto parts store. The kid asked, "Got a swap?" Jason replied, "Yeah, LS." To which the kid replies with, "Is it JDM?" Jason just said, "No." (There is no JDM LS swap btw because there is no model in Japan named an LS - there ARE B18Bs though.)

So I just said something abotu how JDM isn't anything special anyway. And the kid just got this reaaaalllly confused look on his face. Kidn of like, "Why are you talking?" We just left but laughed about it later. Jason even thought it was stupid that the kid reacted to me speaking in that way.
