For those that have changed do Real JDM (and the ones that plan to), either, SiR ot CTR headlights........
Note: not for replicas!!!!!!!

1.-My EK4 headlights cover is all scratched and cant be fixed, and i managed to get a set of JDM headlights for a pretty good price ($120 for the pair). Mi first plans where to install them but when i did I noticed the cutoff for the light is different from the ones I had. Thsi is due to the fact that Japanese cars have the the drivers side on the right and cars run the opsite we do (double way route for example). Because of these I was causing glare to the cars coming in the opposite direction.

Did you ever notice that?

Other thing is that my car came from factory with a light leveling switch inside, so the height or the light pattern could be fixed if the car has more weight in it and so, so they can be graduated.
The light i bought dont have this, so i then tried to swap only the cover (front or the headlight) from the new headlights to the old, but the base has a little difference and it doesent fit (THEY ARE BOTH 96-98 SO DONT ASK THIS!!!). I was really surprised by this.

2.-So my last option is to swap the interior of the old headlights to the new, so i can use all the husing and sitll have the right cut off for the lights. Do you think this can be done?

By the way i just got my esuse square foglights (clear lens) arrive to my house, an yesterday i found a set of original round raybrigs for $20 (amber lens) only hte lights not the harneses and cables. Im thinking of buying them and maybe try to hook them with the esuse wiring. Is this possible???? I think its a good price for them.....

THANKS U ALL.

i would normally say yes but since you said they look different than maybe not.. a picture of what you have and what you got would be really helpfull

1.-OC_civic, WHEN YOU HAD THE EK9 HUOSINGS (THE EK9 WAS MADE ONLY FOR RIGHT HAND DRIVE) did you never aimed your light to a wall froma 2m distance? if you do these in your normal (original) lights, the pattern should draw a 20° (more or less) diagonal from left to right, ging upwards.
Now if these is donde with a RHD car, this is the opposite.

2.-The differnce front and shape of the lights (housings) are the same, the only difference is the size of the "lip" (if it can be named like that) of the front (clear) cover, that gose and fits on the rest of the housing is a bit difference. Ill try to take pics of the difference., Thats why I think I should be able to swap the inner parts.

3.- The ionly difference in the Raybrigs and the Esuse is the kind of harnes when it attaches to the lights, but I can connect them by jumping the harness with a wire.

i dont have time for stuff like that.. they are for RHD and my car is LHD so yes they are different.. i have no idea how they are aimed.. they really cant be aimed they are an HID kit and therefore produce this uncontrollable blast of light.. lol BUT with that said.. i never have issues with oncoming traffic.. you appear to be a light aiming nazi with all the facts and figures.. i have no idea at what degree my lighting goes to what side, but to be honest.. i dont think that it matters THAT much in the real world.. all i know is my headlights are obnoxiously bright but dont seem to cause problems to oncoming traffic.. im sorry i dont have any more specific data.. good luck with it man.. and post those pictures..:D

Mine are aimed right but people still flash me. I think people are just angry drivers get pissy and flash because they think I have my brights on. It's no biggy just flash them back

i understand what you're saying about them not being aimed right. i have sir's and you can move the beam over to the right enough to where it's only a little biased to the left. overall it's not a big deal, i actually think they light the road better than my stock housings. also, i don't get flashed
