JL 12w0v2 or 12w1v2?

I am planning on getting a jl w0v2 or w1v2. It'll be powered by a jl 300/4, so im going to bridge one channel for 150W. Ive heard people say that both the w1 sounds better than the w0, and vice versa. Has anyone had actual experience with the NEWER v2 subs and whats your opinion? The w1 has an rms rating of 300W, but on the website, the "optimum" rating for both are at 150W.

Im leaning towards the w1, as it requires a smaller box, but is it better to "underpower" the w1 or to go with the w0 (which has a bit more xmax) and push the max rms.

Also, off topic, but if i plan to replace my front speakers (their currently the stock components), should i go with the alpine type-s 6.5 components or the 2 way coaxial? im planning on amping it but i dont need bass cause of the sub, so is there a difference if im just putting mids-highs through it?

w0 is meh. It's clear (like any JL Subwoofer), but when pushed it doesn't hit very hard. I have an older W3 which is nice, and my friend has a new W7 which is AMAZING. Plus you don't want to push the sub near the limit, or it's not going to last very long.

I recommend the W1, though I have never heard it in person. No idea about your speakers though, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to sound or speakers lol.

bridge your amp to whatever comps you get and get another amp for a sub

150w is a joke.

esp for an inefficient jl sub.

Thanks for the feedback. I had a jl 12w3v3 @ 420 W before and it just became kinda overwhelming and that was also in a camry. So now that im in a civic coupe, im just looking for a nice punch, and something that wont attract any attention outside the car, as im in college and i dont feel like drawing too much attention. I'll probably go with the jl w1. Thanks for the advice.
