So i got some JL audio c5 6.5 components for my car (its an 00 si) but my problem is i cant mount them and still use my stock cover which i want to use because it looks ghetto without it. Anyone installed aftermarket speakers with much bigger magnets and had a good idea to make it look clean? Pics would help a lot too. Thanks

You're in the same boat as I am...
It's killing me having them uncovered like that.
Except mine are Infinity 6022i's 6.5s

You should have checked before buying. I almost bought those, but found out fitment would be a pain

Well, Tampa...we may be up the creek without a paddle on this one.

I got such a good deal on my speakers that I was really hoping to find some sort of asthetically pleasing solution for the covers.
I am a little surprised with all the clever tips and tricks people have come up with for other things, that no one modified their covers to allow for problematic speakers. I intend on tinkering a bit before I cave and return them. I'll let you know if I have any luck.

Well..I installed them last night and everything fits perfect. The covers go on and are secure...
Good luck, Tampa.
