ok so i bought a d16z6 a while back and the motor was pratically in pieces. and the guy threw in a jackson racing supercharger. i had the s/c checked out and it is in perfect working order, but i was wondering what all i needed. it came with the bracket, belt, pulleys, throtle body thingy and all that jiz. but i was wondering if i needed an intercooler or something. i know i have to get a high pressured in tank fuel pump. but do i need like some kinda something or if i already have everything i need. i called a shop and he said i "need an intercooler or my motor would not last 3 minutes with a S/C"

I've never heard of seen a JRSC needing a intercooler...they are only for turbo's..only vortech makes aftercooler..but not intercoolar..that guy was full of BS..

you can send teh intake mani out to lht and they can modify it for a cooler, its not neccesary but it would make more power, how much psi are you pulling??

well pretty much in my opinion i wouldn't do much over 6-10 psi, on that but you can get around 10 w/ the stage one upgrade kit which gets ya the pulley, belt, i believe timing controller and fuel pump

do you think i need the timing control to run the S/C on my car now? im not going to install it until my car is running right. i dont even have to engine in yet. but i want to make sure i have all the stuff i need when the time comes to install. i plan to it to be an everyday driver, from home to work to college to work to home and then HOME 300 miles away on the weekends or maybe every other lol.

it all really depends on the boost you want to be honest, if you want a fun daily driver leave it at 6 psi and it will still be fun, what kinda car is it in??

oh i guess nothing, because its like the big parts.
then it sounds like you need some type of fuel management, maybe go hondata why you need it anyhow, and i would set everything out and call jackson racing tell them what you have and whatever you dont' have order ;)
