Jumper and engine light still on after run the engine

Hello guys.

I hear a lot of topics and people mentioned different stuff about ECU problems, engine lights on/off remaining during engine start.

Here is my question.

I jumper the car to to see if there is any error code, I turn the ignition to the first stage, the light turns on, after 10 sec. or so I turn on the engine (the jumper still there in the connector) and the light remain on till I remove the jumper. (the light DOES NOT flash in the whole process in any moment)
My question is, it's normal or ECU problem?

Some people say is ECU other say it's normal so who is right on the end of this obscure question?

If you are following the proper process then its an ECU issue. Its quite likely a capacitor may have failed on the ECU. Failed capacitors are pretty common in older Honda ECU's.

I see. I will later carefully the video and compare how I'm doing it.

Therefore I still have 3 questions beside it.

1. I have searched on the manual (service manual and repair the big one) and I could not find this info that. Where did you get these precious details?

2. I have check 2 days ago with some specialist (at least they are recommended) when the light stays on as I explained in the previous post, it's normal because there is no error to display. Now I have another question on this that could not reply.
A - Where they found this info?
B - If it's ECU why it does not flash somehow as other issues the light flashes?

Sorry bro so long but I want to understand in very detailed in order to know how to proceed.

Thanks a lot for your time.

I have checked the video you posted, I'm doing exactly as in the video.

One thing, my car runs perfectly, no issue with idle or strange noises, like nothing. The car run smoothly and well for like 100KM with some Vtec in act also.

Try resetting the ecu by pulling the ecu fuse and backup fuse under the hood, can also disconnect the negative battery terminal, leave it off for about 10 mins and reconnect fuses first then battery. Should solve the issue, and next time don't start the engine whilst the jumper is in.
All that info for jumping IS in the manual, which a softcopy can be obtained online
