junk in the trunk

the problem or trouble is my car seems to turn off when the trunk is open? any ideas

I have never heard of that happening to anybody i will do some research on it and try and see if i can help you figure it out.

So its running and dies when you open your trunk?? will it start with it open? if its one way hard to firgure out, but if it doesn't do anything when it is open i would guess you have a short or ground with your trunk lighting that is shorting out your electrical system (would be odd but hey a car is a car), Do you have an alarm system installed on the car that interacts with your trunk? I had an alarm on a 90 camaro that prevented my car from running, it shorted somewhere and i had to remove it for the car to start. I will look around also and see if i can come up with anything strange issue but those are my ideas for now, just kinda throwing stuff out there.

plus one for the alarm system i had do you have one? i had an alarm and remote start on my 5.0 and if you popped the hood or the trunk it would either cut the car off or not let you crank it since it could be anybody opening either one.
