i had that problem in my old 87 camry with detachable faceplate...make sure the cd is not hitting the faceplate when it comes out...if it is it wont come out. so align the opening in the faceplate to the opening in the box so that the cd that come out....if this is the problem...you can fix it by putting a coin or something to hold the faceplate in place so the cd can come out. hope it helps.

dont put a coin in it. If its an open face jvc (not a drop face) Hold the power and the eject button together for three seconds and it will force eject anything in the deck. If its a drop face then pull out the tweezers

i dont mean for you to put a coin into the slot....put the coin between the slot and the faceplate to aling them. its hard to explain...maybe i take a pic or something...let me know if you still have this problem.

My Aiwa CDCZ-137 used to do that once in awhile (cheap Sony piece of crap  ) It would say EJECT for a few seconds but nothing would happen. Couldn't even play the CD after that. I would just take another CD and partially insert it, then withdraw it and it would eject.
