yes its been done...you need a mouting kit for it to fit into your engine bay right, you need a new tranny, and I elieve you have to remove your a/c as well, but not 100% positve on the a/c ....I know to put a h22 in a civic you cant have a/c but dont totally remember about a k20 swap

Thanks for the link on the H22 swap. Area 51 has done the K20 swap but it really isnt worth wasting all of your bank robbery money on it. For the swap to been done everything in the engine bay has to be mirrored to the other side for example battery is currently on the left it would have to moved over to the right. I think I am just gonna get a b-series engine and work of that.

ya I knew that things had to be mirrored....If you wanted a H22 you should get a b18c5...its a ITR engine and will give you 195 hp to start with which is the same or 5 hp short of what the H22 would have given you and will be a whole lot easier to get in..good luck

Yea plus the price for the mount kit is 1100 dollars, that includes all the motor mounts and the conversion for the exhaust. Plus the 5800 for a rsx type r motor....... but having 220hp, 158 tq and i-vtec coud be worth it if you had the money

Yeah it would be pretty insane seeing a k20 in the civic....but the cost factor would be a problem HaHaHa the annual 5% Army raise just isnt cutting it. Trying to find the best suitable engine to swap in is turning out harder then it was to name my kids and I had twins. Any suggestions will be welcomed? Also LS/VTEC i have heard so many things is it crap or is it the s**t? My plans are to go turbo if that helps out with any suggestions

not worth it too expensive and not enough power its better to get
a H22A it'll be quicker the k20 swap will cost around 10G's its only worth getting if you have a 01-04 civic

im sure you could find it cheaper but not with only 35000 miles in garunteed working order and a warrenty

the b18c1 is great for your plans to boost later.

as for the ls/vtec it could have great potential if it is done right. dont really know to much about it though.

not a problem..thats what this site is here for....Ya, hondamotorsonline.com is nice place to get a full swap and a GSR motor is nice too..I just suggested the ITR because you were looking at the H22 and the ITR compares..but the GSR is nice motor...so now you got something to think about...If you want to N/A tune your car go the ITR or a B20...if want to turbo or supercharge your car, go GSR...my 2 cents

plus i heard that the ls/vtec is unreliable at best. I would go with waht these guys are sayin, and remember the B20 in a civic is illegal and it won't pass smog anywhere...
