K20A2 Dyno

Well I finally dynoed the K20 hatch today.
The car was built by Cody at Lovefab, I just cleaned up the tuning and really haven't had time to fix the vtec issue. BUt I got one OK pull on the dyno, didn't get a chance to tune it on the dyno because of vtec dropping out. But I got one pull to 8K.

The car is just a stock K20A2, has AEM EMS and a lovefab prototype header (this thing is pimp ) attatched to an Apexi Dunk exhaust. The cam timing was messed with a bit and it feels a lot better on the top end.

Just for reference this dyno reads low so I am pleased with the numbers from it

Vtec dropped right before 8k, so I got off it.

Vtec dropped a little before 7.5K, this is what happens when it drops out.

Well that is it for now. I am trying to convert these video files. They are in .mov format, and movie maker doesn like them. I need to some how convert them.

The video might be a little slow. Everyone is killing the B/W right now. I don't have that much from my site. Just give it some time it should work eventually. but definitley USE right click save as.. don't stream it.

I am not sure the total in the swap but a good swap can range from 7-10k.. I got lucky and picked this one up.

It has AEM EMS, prototype header and what not. The car is also for sale. I will post a picture of the engine bay someday.

I didn't even get a chance to tune it because it was dropping out, but I have it pretty good from just doing it on the street. It is definitley a 200 whp car.

Yep, it is a six speed. The stock RSX type S tranny. It is great to have 6 gears and still have great gearing.

damn i wish i had the six speed lol...i have the jdm b16 tranny with 5 spd and it sucks goin 5 grand in 5th gear at only 80 mph down the interstate....but yea thats still a good dyno pull even if vtec was droppin off...it should be badass once you get vtec hittin strong

K20A2 is the Type S or Base Engine?

How much did you get the swap for and what it hard to drop it in your hatch, I have a 99 and might enjoy the possibility of dropping one in.

The K20A2 is the type S motor. You can get the motors for around 3-4k, but the whole swap with mounts, ECU and harnesses and such is any where from 6-10k, depending on how bad ass you wanna go.
