Kenwood?

Whats everyones opinions on Kenwood? I just picked up a Kenwood headunit, and its pretty good. Now I just need some better speakers (preferably Kenwood to match). Any Kenwood people out there?

yea bro i just bought some off my friend for 40 bucks.. 6X9's.. they are decent, pretty loud and for a good price (brand new) if any id go with infinity though

I dont wanna spend tons of money on them, but I dont wanna cheap out on then (again). I havent really decided if Im going to amp them or not. Eventually, Im going to get a single sub for the trunk, and thats it. Prolly a 12" sub in a box. This is actually for my DSM, not my Civic. Theres just no audio support over on the DSM site Im at. But car audio, is car audio.

look into the polk db series, great speakers. I got em in mine with 12 polk momo sub, with ppi amp.

I have a kenwood deck with factory speakers and a kenwood sub. I think it sounds good.

Although I like kenwood. Infinity > kenwood.

I'm sure some nice door speakers could be had off of eBay

Speaker wise, if you have the cash i'd go alpine, although from experiance I wouldent get another head unit from them - not that its not good quality and works well - it just lacks features other decks have for the same price.

If you're budgeting, I find Pioneer makes good speakers as well.

it would be good if you amp them..headunits only send out 22watts rms..the phoenix gold rsd components are an excellent set..they only retail for 99.99 and they sound great..this particular set has the biggest car audio forum(www.caraudio.com/forum/) going nuts since they sound so good and cost so little..

they can take tons more than the rated rms...i have em in my civic on 120 on each side..and they don't break a sweat..the tweets aren't harsh..and the midbass is great

i have a kenwood excelon kdc 579 i tihnk that the model or something like that its pretty decent but i have pioners in my panels i got them b***h in the junk yard and they sound so clean....

Dollar for dollar Kenwood and Pioneer are about the same.

Good quality products. I prefer Kenwood's controls but that's strictly for subjective reasons.

It can be argued that Alpine and Fujitsu Ten Eclipse are better....sure. But you won't get the same content on a per dollar basis $179. Alpine is not as good as a $179.00 Kenwood eXcelon.
